Biography

Dana Davis, DNP, MSN, RN, is a proactive healthcare leader with proven clinical expertise in a variety of roles such as community outreach, clinical educator, data analyst, chest pain coordinator, stroke coordinator, and chest pain accreditation specialist spanning two decades.

She has demonstrated the ability to build strong collaborative relationships among internal and external stakeholders with focused and achievable goals. Her work reflects leadership across cardiovascular and neurological program development, disease prevention and wellness promotion, quality improvement, peer review, and patient education.

Her career has included direct patient care, academic instruction, program coordination, clinical education, and systemwide quality initiatives, positioning her as a multifaceted nursing leader dedicated to improving outcomes and advancing professional practice.

Recent Accomplishments

At UNC Health Pardee Hospital, Dana Davis oversees ACC Chest Pain Accreditation, the CP/MI Data Registry, and the American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines Stroke Data Registry. She leads heart failure education initiatives, clinical and patient education efforts, and cardiovascular dashboard reporting related to risk stratification, quality, and safety.

She plans, coordinates, and develops agendas for Stroke and Chest Pain Committee quarterly meetings, collaborates with internal and external clinical teams and providers on cardiology and neurology quality initiatives, and participates in quarterly EMS peer review meetings.

Her recent presentations include ACC Chest Pain Accreditation, UNC Health Pardee Chest Pain Center Accreditation, Stroke BE FAST education during Stroke Month in Brevard, and community presentations in Hendersonville and Asheville focused on heart health and stroke awareness.
