Dr. Sherri Johnson
Biography
Dr. Sherri Johnson, DNP, MPA, RN, FADLN, FAAN, is a national nursing leader whose work focuses on health equity, workforce innovation, and expanding economic opportunity through education and career access.
She is the Immediate Past Chair of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) AI Health Equity Task Force, where she previously served as Chair and helped advance national conversations on artificial intelligence, innovation, and equity in nursing.
In her professional work, Dr. Johnson focuses on expanding pathways to high-demand careers—including healthcare, technology, and other emerging fields—by connecting education, workforce development, and industry.
She is the author of the NEXUS workforce framework, which explores cross-sector solutions to strengthen the future healthcare workforce.
Dr. Johnson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and a Fellow of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (NBNA).
