Biography

Dr. Renee Roberts-Turner is a nurse executive, author, and nationally recognized leader in nursing excellence, professional practice, and healthcare quality. She currently serves as a senior nursing leader at Children’s National Hospital, where she oversees nursing excellence, quality, research, and integrative care services, including Child Life, creative arts therapies, social work, and chaplaincy.

With over a decade of executive leadership experience, Dr. Roberts-Turner has led large, multidisciplinary teams and multimillion-dollar portfolios, advancing strategic initiatives that strengthen professional practice, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the care experience for children and families. She has played a pivotal role in achieving and sustaining Magnet® recognition and is a Magnet® Program Appraiser, contributing to national standards of nursing excellence.

Dr. Roberts-Turner is the creator of The Diamond Model: A Framework for Professional Excellence, a transformative leadership framework that has empowered nurses and professionals across the country to align their personal and professional goals, strengthen leadership capacity, and advance their careers.

She is also the founder of the Hair For You competency, a nurse-led national practice standard that integrates scalp and hair assessment and care into routine clinical practice, reinforcing holistic, patient-centered care and advancing nursing practice standards.

In addition to her executive leadership, Dr. Roberts-Turner is a national speaker, mentor, and advocate for the advancement of nursing.
